Renaldo Baptiste – a gangster with the street name of “Chops” – was safely locked up in HMP Long Lartin on the night of 9 March 2025.

So why was Baptiste (pictured) – a convicted murderer who was already serving a life sentence – found guilty last week of the murder of Joanne Penney (pictured), was shot dead as she answered the door of a house in south Wales that night?
