Flashback to 1979 and a horrific triple murder which shocked Britain, but is now forgotten
The Boarded Barn murders
On 5 November 1979 Ann Carryer, and her friend Christine Blood, both 39, were brutally murdered at a house in Congleton, Cheshire which was known as Boarded Barn Cottage.
It was a huge story at the time, as was the eventual conviction of three bungling kidnappers from Yorkshire, but almost a half a century on the Boarded Barn murders have been almost completely forgotten.
